You have to either have it out of the water or remove the prop...

I have a 60hp jet and a 6hp kicker (now a 15) and I have dropped the big motor to get off when the wind kicked up.  Park ranger saw me do it and met me at the launch...All he said was "thank you for being smart.  I saw you switch motors and come straight to the launch, so I'm not going to write you up.  I would rather you get off safely then me have to pull a body from the lake."

Who knows if they all think like this, but I know I will drop the big motor again in a heartbeat to get off safely when the wind kicks up.  Anyone that has been on this lake more then a few times knows how quick it can turn bad.

Theres NO law prohibitting a large motor or having your prop on/off - in/out of the water. If so, please post this in writing....thank you.

Yes Sir Mr. Astrom, once a year is all I got in me…all out of original thoughts till’ next April.  Please keep the therapy coming!  As an aside, took the boy out Saturday and found a few gracious crappie (14 worth cleanin’) up shallow on wood – North end or course.  Hope all you gentlemen had an enjoyable Easter as well and got a chance to wet a line.  Be safe and God Bless.
