fished last nite, 10 landed 2 kept, this is the first time in years Ive had 8 throwbacks, looks like the did get some survival with past stockings

Caught 7 from 7:30 till 9:00 3 keepers(all males) 20.5 -17.5 inches 4 shorties,floating Rap Chart. and 1/8 twister tails chart also. Hot bite but turned off quick,caught them off the back side off and island then moved to a sand bar less than 100 yards from the island.Had two rods rigged and tossed both baits funny the Raps caught the keepers and the twister caught the shorties,no smallmouths so the eye might be around for a few more days.

They still be around for next weekend? Hoping to get up to the lake then, just stocked up on some rapalas.

We had a good day yesterday, rented a boat at the causeway and fished manning and tuttle. 

we normally catch fish on these spots till the first of June or so

Used to rent there and long while back . Long lining night crawlers would slam them in the channel.

 

Anybody catching them along the shore?
