big bob, look for points on the south end. these are, for the most part, 'gravel' bars.

Feel it with your feet...you'll know if you're walking on gravel or mud/sand....you should at least.

Thanks for sharing that info Bluntman  !!  It's not everyday that one will actually "give up" how and where they are catching fish.  Although I only fish from a boat and have never waded, there are others who do or would like to try it but really have no starting point as to what to do or where to go.  Again, many thanks!

Bigbob, what tastytrout said is good advice, you should be able to tell when you are walking across gravel....Seems like alot of the times if you can find the edge of sand/gravel bar the fish will be holding there. But right now it seems like the fish are just all over. good luck
