Quick question for anybody that has done it or knows somebody that did. How long would it take to run a 24' pontoon from Jamestown marina up to Linesville. Boat has a 20/25 Merc on it and it runs approx 10-12 mph. I was thinking like 1 1/2 hours or so. What do you guys think?

Just about 12 miles on the water. So yeah, hour & a half sounds about right...
unless you're battling a stiff north wind.
Never done it in a toon, that's just my 2 cents.

I have a 19' with a 20hp on it and it takes about an hour from Linesville marina to the causeway (we only move about 8mph though according to the gps), so I would guess at least  1 1/2 hrs from Jamestown to Linesville if your doing the 10-12mph on your boat...I can't remember what it took the last time I actually made the run down the whole lake, its been a few years (I just haul the boat via trailer if I want to fish the other end)...

*ADDED-  I used the ruler on Google Earth and went from the **** to the spillway and its 14 miles, so it would be just under 1 1/2 hours at 10-12mph...

Why not make a long day of it and take a buddy and throw out 4 trolling lines and head on up the lake at 2 mph trolling for eyes. You are bound to catch some fish based on the recent reports plus you'll save some $ on gas and be able to kick back and relax a little. Won't be able to troll the entire way but you'll be able to get several hrs of good fishing in.
