slab nabbit
While driving accross the causeway yesterday and with the south wind we noticed alot of dead fish floating along the south side of the causeway. Conditions were similar last year(got hot really fast) when the outbreak happened that killed 15,000 to 20,00 fish. Anybody seeing anything? Hope its not a repeat of last year.

With this springs screwy weather and crappie spawning or finishing up, wouldn't surprise me if it wasn't a mess of crappies that died due to stress.

Haven't been to Pymatuning yet this year but I was at Wilhelm this weekend and also noticed some dead fish. Mostly crappie but also some gills.

Some fish die every year at this time, it's normal. Water temps, spawning stress, bacteria, are common causes.

Was out all weekend and didn't notice anything out of the ordinary...Most of the dead that I noticed were small fish, crappies and walleyes, more then likely gut hooked and released especially with the number of people out this weekend.  I did see a big musky, probably 45" or so floating, looked like it was a few days old...
