Hey guys I am new to the site and I must say I love it. I would like to take the family to pymy tomorrow and was wondering if I can expect to catch anything from the causeway. It would also be helpful if I knew species I could expect to find there. Thanks

Is parking allowed on the causeway?

My Dad fishes the Causway almost every weekend. You can park on the one side of the causeway, but there's a chance you could lose a mirror as it is very tight. He catches Walleye, Perch, and Channel Cats from time to time.

Thanks I was thinking about crawlers and leeches on floating jigheads. Just of the bottom. Any suggestions?

Yes you're able to park on one side of the causeway.  It's a tight fit so the best thing to do is pull up to where the walls to fish off of are (with steps going down) and let the passengers open their doors, and then get your car as close to the rail as you can.  You have to do this to keep your mirror from sticking out.  I had an uncle that lost a mirror.
 
If you just walk down the steps and fish the walls you'll catch channel cats and perch without a doubt.  From my personal experience the walleye are hit and miss.  Have crawlers and minnies with you....if you want to try a leech give it a whirl but I've never ever caught a fish using leeches there.

Or you can park at the area to the right of Espyville marina and fish either side of the break wall. Depending on what way the wind blows.

How deep is it under the bridge would I be a le to toss crank baits

You can always catch something at the causeway and you can through lures under the bridge, it is plenty deep enough. put your rigs on the bottom with minnies or worms and have a field day with the perch

yea you will catch fish on worms and minnies there no dought like he said the break wall is also a good spot lots of pan fish for the young ones to catch good luck
