Still fishing for eyes but these darn muskies won't leave me alone.  Today was the best day of catching them that I've had in 50 years of fishing.  In 4 hours I boated and released 5 muskies, ranging from from 20-44 inches.  All were  in 20 foot of water 18 feet down.  5 times I came across a hump and every time I caught a fish.  Moved up on the hump ( 16 feet) and got 2 keeper eyes and 11 shorties, 3 cats, a large mouth and 1 white bass.  The cats, bass, and muskies were caught on a Shad Rap trolled while the eyes were caught on leeches and floating jig head.

Good to hear! I'd like to get up there and fish sometime soon. Boat pressure is only going to get worse and worse though I'd imagine.

Sounds like an awesome day.

Speaking of Shenango, anyone ever take a boat up river towards big bend from the main lake?

Actually on the week days there is hardly any traffic.  The high gas prices are keeping the skiers down.  Fished Saturday and I didn't see any skiers until after 10:30 Am.  By than I was leaving.

Saw some boats go up there when the water was high earlier this year but I wouldn't want to chance it right now.  There are some very shallow spots up that end unless you can stay in the old river channel.

mikastorm u got me second guessing  . so from websters   a wing dam is a man made structure that extends partially into a river..   so i digress and stand on my original reply.
