Wirenut :
I've caught Bass, panfish & a red fin pickerel in there. Before you guys say red fins are not native to our watershed & it was prob a baby pike, I had a photo of the fish positvley ID'd the PAFBC. They didn't believe me when I told them where I caught it, but there are a few of them in there or was at least one !
I want to hit  the swamp again for Bowfin, trying to knock another species off of the list.

Jeb, Cutbait is the way to go for the fins. They will hit live shiners and gills, on most days, but even on the slowest of slow days they always will hit something that is dead and stinky.

Just to be clear, I have never seen anywording (except for perhaps the quote)suggesting that you Must return bowfin.

the followed in a link to the LAW regarding endangered/threatened/candidate species and the wording is "Encouraged"...

in just about any OTHER waterway I would surely release a bowfin, these are Very rare catches... however the upper french creek and the lakes that at their headwaters clearly seem to be something of an exception.

this fish commission I think did a poor job on the wording on Chapter8.
