Yeah. I can understand closing playgrounds and ball fields. Can also see lakes/creeks closing for opening day. But boat ramps to be on a boat alone or 1-2 others, I don’t get. The experts seem to agree that getting outside and mind off of the situation are both good things.

With all the rain, could cross creek be closed due to high water?  I know it is pretty sensitive to that.

Which ramp did you try? The bait shop end or Thompson Hill park one?

I know parks where shutting down facilities like offices, restrooms, etc so the only thing I can think of is lock the gate keeps all those kids off the playgrounds. I don't know how I feel about this as it's also shutting down a lot of trails & of course limits fishing to those that want to ruck in.

May be it was just a fluke but does anyone want to call the bait shop as talk with them?

Called wash county parks and rec office and they said gates to be locked on March 20 till further notice...that was on Monday March 23...I see the point of keeping kids out of playgrounds but not real fond of the boat ramp closing...fishing is one way of getting away from all this for a few hours.

If you really want to fish you can always walk in. Park at Mike's  and walk, I've done it before. Or go 8n on the low end.
