Been up quite a bit lately and they have defiantly lighten up on the checking of motors. And the bass are hitting good  we got a few  over 15" and one 20 3/4  last night. Figures not a tourny night. ya know it's always that way for me. I slam the bass any time i'm not trying to fish the wensday night tourny. But tourny night only one or two keepers.

why not make it easier and come up with a hp/boat weight or boat length ratio?/ if speed is a problem we all know u can take an 18hp 4 strk tohatsu and put 9.9 stickers on it or the harder to find small 30hp 2 strk tohatsu's and put 9.9 stickers on them! the real issiue should be safety right??    so whats worse a tiny boat with the 30hp(9.9 decaled)or the 17-18ft deep V w/a 9.9??    either have a water speed limit or boat length/hp ratio set in place as obviously speed on the lake/safety seems to b their bottom line issues and im sure they know a bigger boat or pontoon just isn't safe on pymy when it gets too rough or too choppy being under powered!!!

Hello all, Anymore word on DCNR checking 20+ horse outboards?  It seems to me that Tracker boats were especially targeted due to Mercury not making a 20hp 4stroke outboard last year.  This year Mercury is offering a 20hp outboard and I wonder if this will lighten up the DCNR this year.  Any guesses or inside info?

Jason i'm sure the DCNR  will be checking some motors this  but  maybe not as intense as last year. Like i said before most the illegal motors were the tohatsu's    Dave

Do you think there will be a big difference in the appearence of the new 20 hp as compared to the 25's everyone is running now?

From what i just seen on merc site the 20 four stroke  looks a little bit smaller. But defiantly noticeable  www.mercurymarine.com/engines/outboards/fourstrokes/enginesetfour_specs.php?ID=69    take a look

Along the same lines.  I would be interested whether if anyone knows if they are checking large boats with 15 and 18 hp kicker motors at Pymy.  Most PA people have a kicker sized for all of the 20hp limit lakes in PA.
