I’d be just fine with Mason. There is no long term or even one season contender available now, unless extremely lucky. Rodgers and Wilson for a 6-7 game stretch are better, they are just proven better NFL QBs. For a full season, I honestly think the same as Mason. Those guys have shown they can’t stay healthy or just run out of steam. Like most of us after mid-30s. The fitness level is just so much harder to maintain after 30, compared to peaking in later 20’s. Mason is at his peak right now. I’d like to see another guy or two in Mason’s situation brought in for competition. Or grab a QB that drops in this season’s draft, but needs to be 3rd or 4th round. Too many other holes to fill. Keep costs down and load up elsewhere. Or even better, trade some guys for draft capital to be in the running for one of the top QBs next season. Supposed to be a good QB class. If they reach again this year in round 1 for round 2 level talent, it will be another 4-5 years of the same.
