If you’re heading north from the spillway towards Linesville, there’s a parking lot on the left just south of the hatchery.
If facing the lake in the parking lot, there’s a well worn trail to the left that parallels the bay and will take you right down to the water. It’s a fairly easy wade the handful of times I’ve tried it in the spring. Soft but not super soft bottom. A few logs here and there that might make your heart race for a minute.
Lake was way down last night when I was wading on the south end. Couple folks over the years have told me how great the October fishing can be in the evenings on rocky points, but only got a few smallies and a channel cat. Anyway, would imagine you could get out quite a ways in Stewarts right now.
