Did an observation sit yesterday till 1pm. Saw 4 bucks cruising including a 9 point with about the same frame as the one I shot. Between 10 and 1 remains the ticket.

My week long rutcation started this past Monday afternoon started a little slow only seeing a 4 point that evening but the camera card pull showed heavy day light activity the prior two days. Hunted the same stand Tuesday - Thursday morning seeing 19 different bucks, 10 of which were legal. Almost got it done Tuesday on a very large 8 pt but he only provided a quartered to shot at 30 yds.

Thursday morning about 9 am I hear a deer blowing nonstop in the distance, the sound comes closer and closer until I hear what sounds like a bulldozer coming through, the sound of heavy chasing. As the doe breaks the overgrown field behind me, I see two decent bucks chasing her an 8 pt and 10 pt. The 10 pt is the deer blowing and he continues to blow as the deer run with 20 yds of my stand for a couple of minutes until the doe loses the bucks. Both bucks stop in the overgrown field with the 10 pt continuing to blow, he half circles the 8 pt until he is directly in front of him and they both collide. They lock horns with the smaller 8 pt getting the better of the 10 chasing him into the woods about 30 yds of my stand. At this point the 10 pt is in front of my stand but I am turned looking into the field behind me where the 8 pt is now 10 yds from the stand but at a hard quartered to angle. He begins to snortwheeze and continues to do so for a few minutes. The 10 pt still blowing works his way back out in the field and the 8pt is working his way to the other buck. At 20 yds quartered away I let the arrow flow. With a big jump and mule kick the 8 pt runs out of the field the 10 pt chasing after. Bubbly blood at the shot site left little doubt He was going to be recovered a short distance later which he was.

Has anyone seen a buck blow nonstop like that? He was doing so even in eye sight of the doe, I have never. I have killed other bucks chasing doe but between the nonstop blowing and snortwheezing it was some of the craziest action I have ever seen. Sorry for the long post

By blowing I assume you mean snorting like an alarm snort. I have never seen that with rutting deer.
