I'll vote for however wins the primary in the general over Biden. Biden has been even worse than expected.
If DeSantis runs, I'll vote for him in the primary, if he doesn't, then well Trump will cruise to the nomination. Zero chance Trump can win a general election, imo.
Totally can see where RDS wins the GOP nomination, and Trump goes 3rd party just for his ego.
My sentiments exactly, PSU. In Pennsylvania, our primary is so late (May) that any of the "also rans" are normally gone. Our vote usually just becomes a confirmation vote. Should DeSantis run and survive 'til our primary, I'll vote for him. If not, then Trump would get both votes, primary and general. We've had nearly 8 years of Trump, Trump, Trump 24/7, and if he's still in, we've got another year of it until next years' primary. The Democrats and the media are gonna stay on it until he dies. But Gawd! What if he'd win? We're lookin' at a minimum 5 more years of pound him, hammer him, berate him, incriminate him. Personally, I'd be hard pressed to take that again.
Any Republican at all, no matter who, will always be wrong. If they cut taxes to spur growth in the economy, it'll be wrong. If they raise the SSI retirement age to 70 in an attempt to save it, it'll be wrong. Won't matter what gets done, until the next big spender 'Crat gets in, it'll be wrong.
PS: If Trump runs as a third party candidate, it's Ross Perot all over again, and the 'Crats are in. If Manchin runs as a third party candidate, then the republican wins. There's been whispers that Manchin is so POed at Biden and Schumer rolling him on the energy bill that he may consider a third party run. That's crap! If Biden runs, he should primary him. If Biden don't run, then Manchin should just throw his hat in and do it. He'd only have to beat to "Loser" governors from California and Illinois to win the nomination, (and oh yeah, the lady with the best selling novel who jumped in as the first candidate for the Democrat primary).
