With the prices of hard baits going up, soft plastics are the way to go and still cover water though slower (and most times more effectively).
A gal. jug of plastisol can produce 1000 or more lures for less than a few cents each. Molds last forever and single-pour molds are very cheap on Ebay.
Now that I've found how to
attach parts of two lures together using a candle flame, new lure shapes/sizes/designs/actions are
unlimited!
I.E. a French Fry plastic stick segment attached to the tail of a hand-poured stick:

The lure at the beginning of the post is similar except the tail was from a hand-poured mini-stick.
