Fichy that's great you trimmed some fat. This winter I seem to be gaining more. Mostly attribute to the homemade foods we are eating because we seem to be eating more, lol.
No laker pictures because this weather really put me in a fishing funk.
I've fished more in December on local panfish waters in December before the northern laker places froze. Then it became a total washout round here and I got in a lazy funk about driving up there joining the circus on schroon because it was the game in town . Local temperatures in the 40's don't help my desire either so I been cutting free firewood to look ahead.
I went once so far and didn't ice any char.
Now that lake George is drawing the crowds and deeper snow is keeping some home, I'm going to try again.

Just dropped off another load, yup, it's mud season 2020.

I don’t declare winter officially over until I see the red-winged blackbirds in the neighborhood. But spring is neigh. The killdeer returned yesterday. While they do tend to be here for a few snow dustings, it usually isn’t anything too serious because they are ground nesters.

I definitely hear you on spring is near. Unfortunately mud season never really left my place until yesterday.
Its been a polar coaster winter for sure, with more highs than lows.
I fished my local panfish spot 4 times in December. I was able to access it twice since. Once in January and just last weekend.
Temperatures are dropping and its gonna get tighter for this weekend with lows in the singles until Saturday.
This weekend will be awesome with the highs in 40's and hitting 50 on Sunday.

I started some indoors seeds so I'm ready for those redwings to arrive
