So I've been stoking my woodstove at night before bed and returning home from work to low 50's in the house. Still coals from 19 hrs prior to just add wood. It usually takes an hr to go from low 50 to mid 70' s and above.
With this temp swing last night and chilly winds, it was 43 in house when I got home. Still coals but not enough to offset the drop.
Didn't take Long to rake coals and get a fire back but my stove maxed out with an inside temperature of 73. It will maintain 73 but not increase.
Stoked her good again tonight and see what tomorrow brings.
No Turkey smoking here but lots coming out the pipe.
Insulation is the key. Now is a good time to cold smoke but not so much hot smoke
