Ok so now I'm upset. The almanac- forecasters are calling for a new term for this winter saying it's a polar coaster winter.
Below temps from January through February and above moisture. Lasting into late April.
Now because of this: the bandwagon has begun.
My wood pellet supplier called and said right now a ton of pellets are $25.00 above last year, starting September 1 they go $40.00 higher.
What a Scam energy people are running as I expect fuel and electricity costs to rise , all just because.. the sky is falling. I can assure you I spent 20 weeks on ice from December till late March last year and could have easily put 30 weeks in if I wanted

We typically burn 3 tons in my house at a cost of $259.00 last year, our only other heat is wood which we use daily to support.
My daughter burns 4 ton , my mother 3 ton.
They also have fuel boilers and pretty much the cost is about double. Pellets + fuel = double.

The biggest thing I'm pizzed about is how scientists, aka weatherpeople, or media can effect the money in my pocket.
One thing I know for sure is my company or government funds are not going to offset the cost.

I have a fall Adirondack trout trip planned for 3rd weekend in September.
Maybe the weather will be to the trout's liking better

Perhaps---we will see- have heard this before both right and wrong---
I sincerely hope its not gonna be too bad and that the reports are wrong-- butttt

r3g3, CYA time for government and emergency management.  Plan for the worst but pray for the best.  My sister & brother in law live about 20 minutes west of Ft. Lauderdale in Davie and I'm sure my wife will be receiving periodic updates as to the storms severity.    

Anyone that watches the news , cries wolf and gouges the people. Anyone actually lives their life understands what happens and prepares themselves.
This weather things is nothing new and has been endured through generations.
It just makes me mad as a hatter how media influences things

HT worse yet, the people that permit themselves to be influenced by the media.

BTW..... only one of the original 7 wonders remain (The Great Pyramid of Giza) as the other 6 have been replaced through the "wonders" of the media.

Word has it "Dorian" just may skirt the East coast loosing strength as she goes.

Unfortunately the Bahama's ain't gonna be so fortunate.

Time certainly will tell.

My son is under a State of Emergency 40 miles in from the coast in GA tonight.  Prayers for everyone's safety.

My younger son ( mid 40's)just got into Fla to setup. He is a lineman here in Ct.

Meanwhile, I continue watching the reports by child like "meteoroligist🤔", wishing I could reach into the TV and bidch slap these people, for the way they act.

Why can't these morons just report the facts. Their drama (pisz poor acting) only leads to "crying wolf" syndrom.

Forecast getting better for the east coast.

TWC folks beginning to back pedal on their forecasting and of course the very "computer models" TWC promotes as being "gospel"... is at fault.

Yessir it was the "computer models" we saw on TV crying WOLF.... WOLF and now being reported as wha..... whaaa

Please TWC (the most trusted news network😝) ..... just report the facts and leave the BSing to us anglers.😕


Here's the scarry part, TWC now reporting "the sacred computer models" say the storm is turning.

Meanwhile, I'll take the word of current radar plus the thunder in yonder distance sez, my asz is about to get drenched.☔
