We are getting closer to garden and farm time. My chicken and hog reserve orders have been placed for April 22nd.
Indoor planting has begun

The groundhog can’t be off by much. This morning I had the dogs out for a run (them, not me —LOL) and there were killdeer about, even as a light snow was falling. It won’t last long now.

Its a little early to plant indoors I think. I won't start my stuff for at least a month. We got 1.5  feet from the LE event.  3  plus feet on the ground, my syrup evaporator is buried. Weather starting to get good, but with increased flows fishing ill be tough this spring I think

Last year I planted way to early indoors. First week of February and had stuff everywhere running out of space.
I just started my indoor plants on 3/1 and think its perfect timing here now.
I ordered my chickens for delivery on April 9th and pigs shortly after.

I'll still probably be walking on ice after the temps this week. Its growing, not slowing

You may be able to get them outside earlier.  I have found that after a certain time inside the plants tend to get spindly and do not survive as well outside.   Any melon type or creeping plant I don't like over 3 to 4 inches.  And 2 to 3 true leaves (not seed leaves).  Matos's , eggplants and peppers , I start sooner. Cabbage , broccoli cauliflower, head lettuce 10 weeks or about now  I never have good luck with those so I usually buy.  Remember a plant like cucumber needs about 60 days to harvest. Planted today 60 days would get you to mid may. We usually are just starting to plant outside then. Too much growth indoors will not give the plant enough time and sun  to really root off outside before it feels like it has to flower and produce fruit.  It will lead to a weak plat or a plant that has to use its energy to root out to survive and not have enough juice to produce good fruit.
Here is my usual time frame. Melons 4 weeks,  tomatoes, peppers eggplant 7 weeks,   cabbage , broccoli , cauliflower 10 weeks or about now.

I'm just sick of mud. Don't care what's next.
Gathering firewood with a wheelbarrow was a mess.
Easier to hand carry.
I don't see any droughts ahead
