BeenThereDoneThat.
HT I weighed anchor and sailed south. Bonifide silly "snowbird" now. 😎

Stuck a "house for sale" sign in the front yard this fall and on Dec. 29th turned the keys over to the new owner. Fired up the truck and down the road we go.

Visiting Alabama and Florida till end of this month then heading west.

A bit tough hearing the stories about hardwater fishing but from what I read, the ice was short lived in my area so that does take a little sting out of it.

Next fall we plan to swing up through r3's area and cont. north on a fall foliage ride to the top, before heading west.

Keep them stories comin. While I ain't punching holes, I got plenty of memories.

Not trying my hand at any fishing here... but there's always next year. lol

So now I'm going to do some grocery shopping so I can continue to eat.Tomorrow they say it will be in the 50's.

Glad you got out Jack. Maybe you should start raising hogs and chickens so the freezer is always full through the winter, lol.
We've already made our reservations at motel go chase Lakers all next week.
Bringing the ATV so no dragging gear around and with 22" ice , go anywhere on that 13 mile lake to find them. I will even throw some traps out for the monster pike that also inhibit them waters.
This one was caught there last week by a friend of mine.

Figures they drop the flow to a manageable 750 and expect it will recede even more.
We are on a ice fishing mission now so maybe next time for the SR.
