BeenThereDoneThat.
Cool picture HT, nice shot.

I don't know whether to be singing "rain rain go away", "row row your boat" , or just building a boat.

Opening fire arms for the elusive PA. White Tailed Deer (antlered only) begins, here in my little piece of Penn's Woods, this coming Monday.

Weather dude aint making friends, from my area, what with a forecast of wet, warm, and windy on Monday. Mid 40s, rain and winds gusting into the 30 MPH range.

Be sitting in my deer stand singing "rock-a-bye BTDT in a tree"... ugh!!!

Good luck all and be safe.

I've had 17 deer pass by me so far this morning and got 1 lying 25 yards behind me just watching.
Horns don't much matter to me it's body size. These deer up here are very lean and small. Eventually big momma will stroll in or their daddy.

Good luck on Monday BTDT

Heat wave coming, looking at rising temps tonight, high 30's tomorrow. The big lake here is locked. Signs ahead indeed. 😁

Stay warm and , not so busy Clint.

Amazing how fast 15* temps makes us thankful for 30* temps!
The biggest thing I dislike is the freeze, thaw, mud cycle.... makes everything a mess and difficult for EMS working stretchers through yards. I would rather have it just freeze and stay that way.

Day 13 and over 100hrs, this is the last stance on my 2018 deer hunting season.
35 degrees and light misty rain. Seems like a good day to be in the woods.
Going for broke till noon then I have to pull out my blinds for another year.
It's been great but I'm very tired .
Ready for a change of pace so bring on that cold weather ice dance please, JACK.

Rule #ONE......DON'T MOVE! Sorry Rich,I could n't resist it.I'm sitting here in Ohio looking at flow guages that are telling me conditions are not ideal,so I decided to spare me the work of trying to find fishable water. Now there is rain/snow in the forecast which will screw it up more,so I'm looking for good driving conditions to bug out of here for the drive over the mountains of central Penna back home..No fishing this trip!

I think we've all been there HT.  Years ago, during bow season, I woke late but got to my climber without spooking any deer.  Half way up the tree and still climbing I see a nice eight pointer walking up the trail about 15 yards away.  That ****ed deer looks at me but doesn't run as I'm slowly trying to pull my bow on it's tow rope to knock an arrow for a broadside shot.  Got the bow, knocked the arrow, but the deer walked just far enough into some saplings so I couldn't get a clear shot.  Such is hunting.

It was a good last day afield. I took a nice deer this morning.

There are times to move and others not. All goes with everything outdoors.
I blew it, done it many times in past and will in future.
All in all we harvested 3 nice deer this season. Now more work begins.
Countless freezing hrs spent would never happen without friend and family.
The smiles ( or not ) on my kids face and dedication make it all a sweet memory to me, that's the goal!!
