Skim ice in a few bays on local lakes is the best I can do.

My bayou is totally covered and made for a less than successful hunt for two friends. wishing to bag a few ducks on T-day.

Weather dude gonna try fixing that, the next coming days, by sending some sunshine (other than me, I mean) and mid range 40 degree temps to my little piece of Penn's Woods. Yeah, like I've not been hearing that for a while.👍

I hope everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving and enjoying this festive "Black Friday" season, from the comfort of their laptops and smart phones.

I got some great deals already and "shipping was free"!!!

Good luck to those making trips to field and stream.

Negative 4 on the mountain, this is the last hoorah for me. I know of a pike and tiger musky lake that is good to walk . Hopefully gonna get my boots wet first next weekend.
Stay warm folks

Clint I thought the same thing, 'cept I think I should of waited till the temps got above 32 degrees before washing my truck.

Ohhhh well, bit cold on the hands but at least the garden hose didn't freeze.  Hands probably wouldn't got cold either if I didn't have to use a mit to wash the stupid 'Bambi Bumper' I hung on the front end.

I can't wait til winter gets here.

Well I cut enough trees for next years wood. I cheated this year and cut them from the edge of the back pasture. No going in the woods no dragging them out AND no 2mile tractor ride to the wood lot. Should be enough around that pasture for 5 years. All heavily leaning really crooked cherry. Some are starting to go so it was time to thin them. Left the 10inch ones on 10years they will be wood. Only got to 24 here

Heat wave coming, looking at rising temps tonight, high 30's tomorrow. The big lake here is locked. Signs ahead indeed.
My friend took his first deer on the mountain today, all good stuff.
We also got 5 inches dry fluff yesterday. Nice quiet woods right now.
It ain't over until my fat mouth sings 😁

Stay warm and , not so busy Clint.

I took a Google Map trip along historical RT 6, for reasons unknown, and when I got to Colorado I started picking up "WINTER STORM WARNINGS" posted at the bottom of the screen.  Clicking on one such warning I learned I could expect up to 2 feet of snow with blowing winds reaching 50 MPH so I turned around, and hightailed it home.

Cool thing about the trip, the map must be current 'cause the mountain tops are highlighted in white from the snow caps.  One of the best map scene's I can recall, and I wasn't even there.  Priceless!!

A balmy 24 today, feels like 50 compared to yesterday.
Lots of theses moving around but just not the size I want.
