Andy, we will do our best to get together.   I have the small boat too so the Res or Estuary is not out of the question either.

Looks like I'm in the snow not winter mix area.
Not much but an inch or so of that wet white concrete.
Long range, don't mean squat, forcast is daytime temps around or above freezing so hopefully the snoblower can stay in the garage.

Out my window at 7 AM it looks like about 3" but the Precip report on NWS says 0.82" of water, so this is NOT snow to be moving if it can be avoided.  Water is ~8 lbs to a gallon as a liquid, and this stuff is pretty close to that now, so a shovel full is plenty heavy.

Well home from work and it looks like about 5 inches of this white slop.
Gonna hafta run the blower cause its like trying to get traction on not quite congealed bacon grease going up my driveway.
Walking to my back door when I looked behind me where I had just walked thru snow my tracks were like mini ponds.
Quite delightfull this is..............not!

2B,and from past experience I think you will find 'snowblowing" that slop a chore in itself

PA my snowblower turned to me and said "I don't know what the frickin shot is but it ain't snow and I ain't throwing it".
That's right my snowblower apparently is an animate being.
Just run it up to the top of the shoot and dropped it all over itself til it clogged the whole unit up.
Push shoveling it was.
At least they are calling for a repeat tonite and all day tommorrow.
With luck I'll have a heart episode just big enougfh to put me on the perm gov work comp teet so I can spend my winters on the ice with Tuna.

Same here boys about 3 inches of slop fell last night  add to that the base in the drive melting because I run shoes on my plow and it was dicey getting out.   Lucky the plow pushed it as pushing with an open station tractor in the rain at 35 degrees is no fun at all.    Rained pretty hard today at times, will see what tomorrow brings.   Cold weather due back this weekend so I hope the ice holds up.  I was going to try Oneida for some waldo's.

2B,I had a chuckle when I read about your "snowblowing" experience, been there, done that.My blower is a 9.9 HP two stage, self propelled,Honda on tracks,it's the real deal!I have a looong drive and most of it is hill. But slop snow does exactly what you described.I have to clean out the chute, run it awhile, clean out the chute,.......on and on.I hate that kind of "snow"!
Luckily all we got was rain with this last system.

It looks as if another wintery blast is headed toward the northeast mid-week.  Looks like HT is going to be on ice for another weekend.
