thrus/fri steel

Does anyone want to go up thrus and/or fri ?

    Pretty sure the streams are closed on friday, just a heads up...

    The streams ARE closed to fishing, from 12:01 AM friday until 8:00 AM saturday.

         Not only are the tribs closed but I believe they are stocking them so there will be plenty of "eyes" out.  IMHO not a good time to be on a trib with a rod.  But Ohio is open and just a short drive.

    If you want to catch some steel the bay AND the mouth of the streams are the spot to fish. THEY NEVER  close. They fight much better in 7ft of water as opposed to 7 inches. Try it, you may be pleasantly surprised.

    i think just elk, raccoon, 20 mile are the ones closed  they are approved trout waters, , id read it first though Rick

  • It is unlawful to fish or possess trout or salmon in or along any Lake Erie tributary stream from 12:01 a.m. on April 11 until 8 a.m. on April 12 (32 hours total).

    Technically, you COULD fish the lake at the mouths. But you would have to remain 25 yds away from the mouth while fishing, AND beyond 25 yds. of the creek while walking in, or out with your gear or fish.

    Went thrus guys. thanks for the reminder concerning fri. Did really well on the eastern tribs near the mouths. If  anyone is free to fish mon-fri any week for what's biting let me know.......
