Between the 3rd and 4th parking lots, about 100 to 200yds pasted the first road to the right,I think it was called Leo's launch,Their most likely getting fish there now, perch and crappie, but this site is a tight lipped group. There's some deep water over 20 ft. Hope this helps.

21 boats fishing early this morning.
Must have been a good day for boat fishing as there were about 60 out this morning a few fish were observed being caught too.
Even saw a few trolling...................... that's the big secret.........should have been at the PSA meeting about a 1 year ago.

Fishing the hole has been good to me most times i have fished it so far this year. I have got a bunch of nice crappie but only a few times I have been there. Also alot of nice perch using a crappie rig.

Back when commercial fishing was big in Erie, the refuse from fish cleaning was dumped in the swampy area to the West.  Rotting fish guts and heads with prevailing West winds = the StinkHole.

I guess it was supposed to be funny, if so , LOL!. If it was to be offensive, I'm not offended. Alternate reason re: why is it called the Stink Hole : I've never fished The Bay and know nothing of the Hole other than what has been posted.

Just having fun, 500. If I was trying to offend you, I'd leave no doubt.

No offense taken spoonchucker. Words may be inappropriate[and I'm not stating that yours are ] but they do not offend me, only actions. As I stated, LOL! It can be difficult to determine the intent of written words and one never knows exactly how a communication is perceived, even in a face to face presentation. I appreciate your reply and as always appreciate the feedback from other board members.

We fished it from shore a couple weeks ago. A few Bass, Perch, and a couple Steelhead. We were not properly dressed under our breathables, for chest deep wading in VERY cold water. So we did not give it the time we might otherwise have. There were several other, ( more sensible, better dressed ) folks out there, having varying success.
