There's a gobbler in my back yard right now. He's all puffed up and strutting, but the two hens are not impressed.

Em' big birds are singin' their hearts out but them ladies are still deaf. Another couple weeks and they will be ready and that's when the party begins(fishing first then hunting). Warming spring mornings sittin' out in the woods listening to both big and little birds talk. Great time of the year to be out and about weather you're hunting or not. Trees and plants beginning to bloom, mushrooms growing.....man what a beautiful time of the year.

I've been hearing a lot of gobbling. I scouted a couple mornings over the past week or so, heard gobbles each morning. I've been seeing a lot of turkeys this year....should be a good one. Yeah, I got the itch.

Heard my daughter screaming from in our bedroom the other day, DADDY....DADDY....DADDY....she then comes running out and grabs my hand. I say "what's wrong????" as she's pulling me into the bedroom. "Turkey" she says......... I look out the bedroom window and sure enough there's a gobbler in strut w/ a hen parading around my yard. My daughter just turned 2! Wish she was old enough to go out!
