Nice pics Tuna.... what creek is that?  Water looks nice and calm there.
Just checked the boat launch south of Troy Dam.... what a mess.  Lots of blacktop torn away, tons of logs and garbage all over, water still high and  fast. Hopefully the city does something about the ramp this week, it's lousy enough (and steep) when it's in shape.  Big striper tournament is 2 weeks away- $50 entry fee, I'm IN.
Poestenkill still high but improving in clarity. The warm weather should send the herring up soon I hope.

Good luck stripin' tonight. I've yet to try it on the Hudson. When I lived downstate, I'd take a few trips out on the Long Island Sound. Are there any places to fish from shore for the stripers, or is a boat needed? Can I take a rowboat out, or is that insane?

    HLS:
    no luck tonight
i made a commitment to catch a striper on a fly rod
so if i catch a striper first pic will be from a fly rod (don't ask why)
    ..........................
first pic is from the estuary looking at the Hudson River
there is a dec park w/small boat launch
i take my 14' jon boat out to the mouth /or up the trib
would not suggest a small boat on the River
i use my Ranger 335V for there
    ............................
    shore access ?
there is a lot of greenway park access
free fishing all up the river
i fish closer to Catskill and north
access is good ,you need to make a plan and do research
if your serious about fishing the area anyone can PM me

other pic's are up the trib, where a bass boat or small boat is necessary
    plenty of options.........
