elk creek

Just wanted to know what kind of shape the creeks might be in for Tue. and Wed?

    They should be fine.  There was a good flow and some color yesterday.  I personally did not do so well, but I did see one fellow hook up and another guy had a pretty nice fish.

    I was there on Friday and the creeks were up and green.  They were perfect to me.  Assuming there is not much rain up there I will say the creeks will be clear and on the low side.  When they drop the fishing can be very tough.  Flourocarbon and small hooks are the key.  I have had my  best luck in low conditions using very small minnows, size 14-16 hooks, and 4# flouro.

    headin up tomorrow myself creeks should be in great shape, maybe a little slushy in the morning but with a high of 40 tomorrow ice shouldnt be a problem long

    It should be fine.  Check the weather before you come. 
     
    I fished upper Elk yesterday and had a 4 hook ups in about 2 hours.  The fish seemed to be spread out and I found several in the deeper holes.  I did not find many fish holding in the faster water.
