WV Seneca Rocks area

We are taking a trip the first weekend in may down to Smoke Hole/Seneca Rocks/ WV and I wondered if anyone had any advice or where to go and what to use.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

i make the trip down there every year about this time... last year was great we fished the fly project up by the big ben camp ground. we did pretty darn good ... nice rainbows down there... the trip thei year is the 15th thru the 20th... i have been wanting to try this seneca creek...its suppose to be a really good native trout stream... but i hear its a hike up to fish it... but i spent most of my time on the fly project...i nymphed mostly ...green caddis pupa seamed to work well for me... size 16 .. but my other buddy caught them on pince nymphs.... good luck ..fill me in on how it is down there

Thanks for the info.  I havent been down there in a few years.  My other buddy is going down with some guys this week.  I am anxious to hear how he does.  I am not a fly fisherman.  I think his friends are though.  I hope to get good feedback from his trip.

For some reason my post didnt go through yesterday.  It was fairly crowded which was disappointing.  We were down at the Harmann's cabons.  Great place to stay.  They are nice inside.  Caught quite a few right in the beginning on Friday but then they turned off.  The water was too clear.  They would follow the lures but they were biting.  Noone was flyfishing in our group.  My buddy and 5 friends went down the week before and all but him fly fished.  I couldnt tell you what they used.  Ours were hitting on panther martin's.  Good luck,  Let me know how you do.

Just noticed this one there.  We were right down near the front in cabin three.  If we go again I want to be in the back.  How did you do?  Water cleared up on us but it was still a great time.
