When you get back, and before you post, just remember how many people read these forums.
Those areas can get crowded...If you catch my drift!

I JUST RUN SOME STICK BAIT, OR SOME SHINERS WILL DO TO. JUST LIKE ANYTHING ELSE, THE BIGGER THE BAIT THE BIGGER THE FISH.  SOMETIMES THAT ISN'T ALWAYS THE CASE BUT IF WAIT LONG ENOUGH IT WILL HAPPEN. I'M TOO IMPATIENT

Third parking lot.  Twenty yards out off the #8 parking spot.  Approx. 6.5 ft. down in 9ft. of water.

Is that good enough for you, or do you need spoon-fed more than that?

Well. Went out Sunday and nothin. Went to east and west pier and misery. Not one bite. I threw live bait, stick baits, spinners, jigs and spoons. Couldn't even score a blugill. WTF? Is it me or what. I'm still not sold on the too early thing. Saw some boaters catch a couple in the middle of misery but don't know on what. Was nice to get out and cast though.

The pike bite was good Dec. & Jan. , open water when the geese wern't flyin' & the big spawnin' runs start when the lake is still iced over around where we go for 'em. 70 miles south.

I caught a Pike on Sunday that was about 30-35 inches and probably 8-10 lbs. I'm no Pike expert so my measurements are ballpark.
Like Mikeg said, water was around 40 when I left. I also caught 5 lm bass which was what I was targeting, the pike was a bonus fish.
I did see quite a few fish up shallow on some of the flats in the lagoons.
Had to fish really slooowww.
Give it a week or two, it will be ON!

I saw a guy catch a nice pike tonight, probably around 30 inches, just before the first parking lot. Not sure what he was using but it looked like a small casting spoon. I couldn't get a bite on my flies though, even fished right where he was not 5 minutes before. He also caught a nice steelhead before I left.

I too went out today and nothing. Went to misery right up to the bridge. Wade out around 4 45 and stayed untill 6 15. I just started fishing for pike last spring and nothing on the line yet or more like nothing under the belt. I read what everyone writes and talk to people and what the hell I am doing wrong. IDK!!! I try everything and buy most of what people tell me to get. I also want to get muskie. I really have not gone out yet for them. I want to get them from off shore as long as they are close. I have a friend who is letting me use his boat but dont want to push my luck on useing it all the time.
