Need info about steelie fishing Walnut creek area?

I folks,I live in central WV and planning my first trip to fish the Walnut,Elk,etc. area.
I am planning to go on Good friday weekend 21-23 Can anyony recommend a place to stay, fish camp cabins,or places catering to the fisherman.
How is the fishing pressure that weekend?
any tips anyone can offer would be very helpful, out of the way places to fish, other fishing for brownies, etc.
I will be watching the fishing report closely and will omly go if its seems favorable.
I have fished the Salmon river area in NY many times and caught lots of fish there, that trip takes 10 hours for me and to Walnut creek only about 4-5 hours.
Any info, advice, tips, etc. will be very helpful.

Thanks, Grey Goose

    Goose,
Places to stay: there are tons of places that cater to fisherman in Erie, Green roof is good and there are many others. PM me if you need phone #'s and such. ( I live in Erie)
Fishing pressure: Now that the cold weather is here, there are less guys on the creeks, there will ALWAYS be other fisherman on any trib in Erie depending on the weather. But "combat fishing" is over and there is usually room for everyone.
Tips: I won't post any specific spots on the board (seems to be a hot button) but i will tell you that Elk has been better than Walnut this year. I fished upper Elk today (3-12) and found plenty of hungry fish. Minnows under a float is what I use this time of year. Sacs and jigs work ok too.
Other fishing : not alot happening till the ice melts. Unless of course you want to fish on iffy ice, then there are perch in the bay.
Hope you found this helpful. Good Luck
