Niagara River??

I want to come up there for a 3day weekend w/ my wife. What time of year and what spots would be good for a woman to have a decent shot at hooking up with a nice salmon from shore. The whirlpool seems pretty accessible y/n can anyone offer an idea? Thanks!!!!!

Niagara river shore fishing is tough and very challanging for experienced anglers. Salmon are even tougher to land in that current from shore. My suggestion, head over to Ollcott early fall and fish off the piers with your wife. Much easier access and Salmon are caught . Hotels are close enough that you can walk to the west pier easy. The bait shop is right there as is the local restaurant. I fished the Niagara from shore many years and it can be good but it is the Major League of river shore fishing ! Good luck.............
