     Watkins Glen, a road course, as a playoff course?  Yes!  And with Goodyear providing a softer tire, with much quicker fall-off, tires will be a problem. And it might rain.  Tire wear and strategy will really come into play. Plus, Juan Pablo Montoya will be in the field.

We all have that one race each year where all your picks just go haywire. Ya just gotta scratch your and wonder, "What was I thinkin'. Just like a Talladega finish.

What Nascar scored. Van got 38 points by finishing 2nd. But he gets 0 points from them. Just saying. And Jack got 0 for dinger.
And the guy I always root for but don't always pick, Blaney, never got a chance to take his car to the stall. They just took him out.

     I guess I was the one who got hit by the "Curse of the Road Course".
     That was a pretty good race after all.  SVG proved that one slight miscue can cost you a race.  If he had been 2 inches left of the bus stop chicane entrance, he would have won the race.
     We had 1 person come closest to picking the winner.  That was Wood Nickle, picking: Ross Chastain.
      We also had one person pick the best Long Shot.  That was Hendey Lathe, picking:  Chris Buescher (he won).
      And we had 4 people pick the closest 1st Out.  They were:  Bigfoot, Fishin' Coyote, Dano and Bloody Hand.  All picking: Kaz Grala.
     And congratulations go out to this weeks' Best Picker, and NASCAR God of the week:  Bigfoot with a very good 65 Points.  Congratulations!
