Fox News played both versions of her answer about Israel and Netanahu. I guess the cleaned up version was played the following day, but I only heard the first answer, which left me talking to myself. WTF did she just say???? When CBS cleaned up the answer, they actually used one of her other answers from a different question and shopped it in, to keep the public from knowin' she's a complete moonbat. I can't begin to imagine what the US foreign policy will be when and/or if she wins. Maybe we should all be studyin' the Chinese language, 'cause that might be what we'll need for the future. She says she supports the "one China policy", but also says we'll defend Taiwan????? How do you do that? Much of the other stuff; she's just gonna continue the Biden agenda so she don't have to come up with too much stuff of her own, but you can bet she'll put just a little more left spin on those programs, and hope she can get it through Congress.

I would like to think we deserve better. That being said, I think it’s still better than what any other country has. In my humble opinion I wish we would’ve have drifted so far away from what the founding fathers envisioned it to be.

Hard to say what the founding fathers envisioned with how much technology has changed everything. Not sure if they could have envisioned the changes of the industrial revolution (maybe Ben Franklin did). I feel the current issue is how much drifting apart of what was civil 15-20 years ago. The far left and far right back then were considered nutcase clowns by most. Now, a lot to do with social media, fake news and politicians engaging with it, they are driving their party's platforms to the fringes. The primary system can fix a bunch of this, by having all primary elections on the same day, weeding out many of the fringe policies. The fake news can easily be fixed with having the term "news" protected by legally binding journalistic standards. If you spew lies or spin the truth too much, you can't use the word news in your company or program name. Just as someone can't claim to be a doctor, attorney, certified plumber, electrician, HVAC technician, mechanic, etc. without having to prove certain standards. Call it "political discussion network" and spew as much garbage as you want, but what is fed to the public as factual reporting of events, should be actual factual reporting of events.

Here are some things the founding fathers never envisioned: 1) automobiles 2) airplanes 3) radio 4) television 5) telephones (Morse didn’t even invent the telegraph until 1832) 6) “germ theory” and the idea that diseases are caused by pathogens like viruses, not to mention the multitude of other advances of modern medicine, ranging from vital organ transplants to vaccines to gene therapy to in vitro fertilization to cosmetic procedures like breast implants 7) free slaves and their descendants owning property 8) the idea of a “middle class” in the United States 9) women having the right to vote 10) indoor plumbing 11) a power grid that supplies electricity to all populated areas of the entire North American continent I could go on, but you get the point. The idea that the founding fathers are this group of infinitely wise, all-seeing, all-knowing intellectual giants who could see into the future, and somehow knew what’s best for the world we live in today is just silly. They could not have imagined 21st century society, just like it is impossible for us to imagine what society will look like 250 years from now. And let’s just be clear- John Adams believed only elites (ie white men who owned property) should have the right to vote. When people lament how far we have drifted from “what the founding fathers envisioned”, is this the kind of world you want to go back to?

I will stick with the Constitution and its directions on how our govt should work and its protections for Americans. I have fear of what those who would throw out or dramatically alter the Constitution and its personal protections would turn our country into. Remember when they recently wanted a TRUTH COMISSION--who determines TRUTH - for example. A Socialist or Marxist form of govt comes to mind.

Despite the myriad of ideas that the founding fathers did NOT envision, what they did foresee was the need for FREEDOM, individually, by state and nationally. When I consider that for the Constitution, along with the Bill of Rights, I personally consider the founders to not only be wisely observant as to what the new nation was going through, but also clairvoyant to predict what could happen in the future. If what they did wasn't true then, then why is it that the left attacks the sacred document so much now? Answer: Because to them, the Constitution is the biggest hindrance to their agenda. And they're still lookin' for a Court who will interpret the Constitution their way and not the way it was laid out in the Federalist Papers. 'Nuff said!!!

Harris agreed to a one on one with Bret Behr on Fox this week. May as well have scheduled it with Jessica Tarlov or Marie Harte, though BB is not quite as biased and all forgiving of everything Democrat as the other two, but I don't expect anything earth shattering to come out of it. Those two will defend the 'Crats no matter how wrong they are.

I mean, the founding fathers, in their infinite wisdom, clearly did not envision freedom for everybody. They believed that certain freedoms and certain rights belonged to not just white men, but white men that owned property. If you were a poor white man, or if you were a woman, you were out of luck. And obviously, the founding fathers envisioned slaves, not as “free”, but more like livestock than men.

I don’t feel America is headed in the right direction with either.
But it is beyond alarming that the majority of Trump’s prior cabinet is speaking out against him. Trump’s presidency was a controversy after controversy then followed by a global pandemic. Then a pathetic treasonous coward attempting to deny an election. How so many conveniently excuse that now? But gas was $2 a gallon when the economy was shut down with us all being told to stay away from large crowds. That was awesome having to avoid elderly family???
If it weren’t for global inflation this would be a 70% to 30% landslide for Harris. Which would be alarming, since I don’t think policy with the current Dem party is the way we need to be going. Some of it, I am completely for. Some of it needs to be implemented a bit differently, other needs to go away and never be in consideration, ever. Some might have a good sound to it, but not worth the additional deficit hit or raising taxes. But still costing less than 1/5 of what Trump proposals would cost.
Even prior to the pandemic, the “greatest economy of all time” was producing the same GDP as Obama. I.e. Policies NOT PAYING FOR THEMSELVES as advertised. Was it better than global inflation that many of his policies helped cause. Along with many of Biden’s. But anyone with a fraction of a functioning brain knows the fallout of the pandemic caused inflation. It appears to be relatively leveling out. But will likely take a few more years to feel normal. Regardless of which side gets in.
My hope is Harris gets in. GOP controls Congress and no major legislation passed. Just enough to keep government functional. Both parties kick the fringes to the curb and realize the only way to get things accomplished is compromise.
