NASCAR Picks of the Week - 2022 - Richmond

Gentlemen,

And now, as the Regular Season winds down, we have a Short-Track: Richmond.
It's classic Racing, bump and push, May the toughest driver win.
And, If we have another new winner, one of the points leaders will be dumped out of the Top 16.
Martin Truex Jr. really needs a win, and he is one of the favorites. and he is OUT of the Top 16 for the playoffs
Ryan Blaney is #2 in Points, but he needs a win, or a win by another winner.
If Eric Jones, Aric Almirola, or Bubba Wallace win it will mean 16 winners, and points won't mean crap.

Here's your Top 12:

1.  Chase Elliott                                                          7.  Christopher Bell
2.  Ryan Blaney                                                          8.  Kyle Busch
3.  Ross Chastain                                                        9.  Kevin Harvick
4.  Martin Truex, Jr.                                                    10.  William Byron
5.  Kyle Larson                                                          11.  Alex Bowman
6.  Joey Logano                                                         12.  Tyler Reddick

     Here's My Picks:
          Winner:  Martin Truex, Jr.
                Long Shot:  Bubba Wallace
                       1st Out:  J.J. Yeley

Good Luck  And Thank You for Playing.

    Gentlemen,

All I can say is WOW!.  Harvick was out of the picture, and now, with 2 wins he is locked in!
Check out the closeness of our scores this week.  Hint:  I had 50, in last place
We had one person come closest to picking the winner this week.  That was Bigfoot, picking:  Joey Logano
We had five people pick the Best Long Shjot.  They were: Dano, Fishin' Coyote, Wood Nickle, Timachro and Bloody Hand, all picking:  Denny Hamlin.
And we had one person come closest to picking the actual 1st Out.  That was Timachro, picking:  Cody Ware.
And Congratulations go out to this weeks Best Picker, and NASCAR God of the week.  Timachro with a great 87 points.
         Congratulations! .

         Here's How We Scored:

    1.  Timachro *************************************************************************  87
    2.  Wood Nickle **********************************************************************  86
    3.  Fishin' Coyote ********************************************************************  85
    4.  Bloody Hand ********************************************************************  84
    5.  Dano ***************************************************************  77
    6.  Bigfoot **********************************************  59
    7.  Hendey Lathe ***********************************  55
    8.  Indsguiz **********************************  50

Congratulations, again, to Timachro !          And Thank You for Playing.

My wife did her NASCAR experience at Pocono last weekend.

    She had a blast!

She had the pro driver coming out of turn 3 every time, but they wouldn’t let her pass him on the straight. He talked to her afterwards and congratulated her on keeping with him.

She did a 3-lap ride-along at over 200 mph to see the deceleration, acceleration, and turning points. Then she got in the 93 herself. Two pace laps to get up to speed; 4 racing laps, and a cool down lap before pitting.

She was given further instructions in the pits — basically don’t lift off as much in the corners — and went back out and did it again. She paid attention because they gave her the “Back Off” sign when she was less than a car length behind the pro driver at the flag stand — lol. Supposed to be 4 car lengths.

On her second run, She lapped 3 other cars -- twice.

The adrenaline was still pumping days later.

Everything I say can be fully substantiated by my own opinion.
