Shenago river below dam

Saw a post last week about the flow of the river below the dam. I was wondering if the flow was slow enough to fish or wade? It was mentioned about the gates being opened a foot and a half or less to fish. Are the conditions there yet and if so is there a web site for me to check for flow levels. I have a couple of days off this week and was thinking of fishing a day there.

i use them often on my fly rod up volant. i love fishing below the dam using spinning gear, but mainly only when im camping up there. (never know what you'll catch down there)

I've heard that they are pretty effective, just personally never used them. The Shenango fish tend to be not selective (catching them on green weenies in the middle of a huge caddis hatch) so I'd think those would be pretty good there.

I,m with Ronnie. Caddis is the way. Bait would be a minnow. No need for anything else.
