I did a all day sit today (yes I know I am crazy) looking for the right doe or a turkey. Seen 5 bucks, three of them legal. Also 10 does but none close enough. Some crazy chasing and bucks roars this morning. Loud as all get out.

Took the video camera out last night. Just trying to learn the area close by to my house a little better. One one deer "heard" from my stand and unfortunately, it came in from the direction I didn't expect and was downwind of me. Deep snorts, all alone, heavy when it busted out of there...thinking it was a nice buck but who knows. Weird to only be hunting in a long sleeve tee and cargo pants in the second week of Nov. Did have several "buddies" climbing up me after going through the golden rod around the gas well pad. At least the ticks are big enough to see this time of year. Be careful out there.
Did see 4 or 5 bucks chasing a doe next to the road in a field on my drive home. Could partially get my headlights on them. All the bucks I could see were 1.5s or 2.5s. Nothing huge but man she must have been tired.

I was pulling stands this morning and the bucks were chasing all around me. Layed my eyes on three different ones dogging does while I was clanging steps and stands while strapped to the tree . I figured today would be a good movement day.

Got out for the last hour tonight behind the house. Saw 3 bucks and had one at 16yds unfortunately 1 was a button and the other 2 were spikes.

Hey Fishin, I see the ignorance continues over on Bowsite. I used to post there some quite a few years ago in an attempt to get folks to work together instead of attacking each other. I may have to rejoin the party, lol.

I couldn't help myself and had to throw some gas on the fire, some of them guys take it way to seriously. Did you get that doe you was looking for yet or you saving the tag for muzzleloader season?

Not yet. I have had quite a few within 20 yards but just have not had the "right " one among them. The older I get the less I am inclined to shoot a doe with fawns. I still want another deer for meat and have 4 doe tags in my possession. I have a few folks that would like a deer as well and pay for processing. As the season goes on, a doe with fawns may end up looking better.

What WMU are the 4 tags for(2A or 2B)? You better shoot 4 does so they don't become road kills. My son took I-70 from New Stanton to Ohio line and saw 30 road killed deer and 1 road killed bear.

Ended the season seeing 11 doe and a 4pt.
Seemed like a weird and frustrating season without a lot of opportunities but when I tallied up my log I had a 175 deer sightings in 42 sits 38 which were bucks but only 6 legal ones out of them. I did miss a doe early, passed a lot of little ones and had 1 legal buck within 15yds twice but couldn’t get a shot. So the quest to kill one with a longbow from the ground continues.

I may sneak out for one more hunt before rifle. Season is still open in the SRA. Maybe tomorrow morning for a Sunday archery hunt.
