Arizona elction recount

Have been seeing occasional reports on the Arizona election of President vote recounts that are now ongoing.
Seems that Biden won that state by about 10,000 votes and the actual ballots - and other means of voting- are now being looked at individually for the first time.

The past recounts were simply counting the same manners of voting over and over obviously coming to the same conclusions as the original- not just in Arizona but about everywhere that objections were made- IMHO that really answered nothing if there were in fact huge irregularities- which I kinda doubt -in any meaningful numbers.

Have been somewhat skeptical of the new recount from the beginning but figure - why not ?- answer the questions once and for all by doing it in a far more investigative manner than simply redoing the same count over and over.

I clicked on a link for the count an found a large democrat effort to stop it and demean it has been ongoing both in and out of the courts.
The courts seem, so far, to be upholding doing the count.
Many of the Dem arguments are very clearly meant to demean whatever the result of the audit as a nothing burger- unless of course they verify the existing tally, LOL.

They are apparently going so far as to go out and do some interviews of voters whos names are on mail in forms ,among other methods.
Seems a very time consuming task with so many ballots and will likely go well beyond the original time estimates and last into mid summer at least.

My takeaway is that this is the kind of in depth look that should be done in whole or in part in most any recount where there is a hint of irregularity in the first place instead repeating the same count.
That works fine for normal elections, but not when fraud is charged.

Compare to the  treasurer of a place submitting reports that add up just fine month by month and year by year but is later, after a closer look,  found to have skimmed  and gets pinched.
Sometimes a deeper look is OK to do.

When this is over one side or the other will have to shut up.

Am taking a look at that link and its just what I described above in the clear taking of sides on the whole issue by Dems --and their minions in the press.
Like I said, when its over one side or the other will have to shut up and I kinda think I know what side that may be.
10,000  phony votes will be a huge task to uncover IMHO- but if true it a whole new ballgame.
Insofar as one guy who was at DC  at the wrong time and likely the wrong place gotta ask how many on the Dem side were protesting here and there too- that kinda nitpicking can go on forever and doesnt change anything IMHO.
Kinda like listening to Schiff and all of his mysterious never brought out Russia Russia proof.

    Whatever ,its gonna be interesting--

Between Georgia, Arizona and whatever other states republicans have pulled this crap.... how many recounts is this now? 5? 10? 15? 20? I’ve lost count.

And how many recounts have resulted in different election results? But surely this time it will be different, right?

How much taxpayer money has been wasted on pointless recounts? Or do republicans simply not care about wasting tax payer money when it’s done to appease their delusional orange baboon cult leader?

This is the FIRST and ONLY recount that has taken an inquisitive look at each and every ballot- the others were simply recounts of those same ballots that some questioned.
Personally dont think its gonna come up with much if anything but am glad they are doing it and hope it puts the whole issue to bed.
Gotta say though when the other side is described as representing an 'orange baboon cult leader ' it kinda insults all on that side of the fence and makes you very predictable and not taken seriously.

Now I suppose you will hop right back on with some kind of personal insults that make you feel superior and better then everyone else in your own universe.

Try positive stuff now and then without the insults - might work out for ya--
And a word of advice- dont EVER try that other stuff in a bar.
I dont have your address and wouldnt know where to send the get well card.

Do I need to list some of the nasty, inappropriate, indecent, personal insults that Trump throws around?

I generally try to attack ideas, not people, particularly when it comes to other forum members. The exception to my rule is public figures, and in particular people like Donald Trump. His BS is a big reason why our public discourse has devolved to the level it has, and I’m going to point out, AGAIN, the blatant hypocrisy of holding some nobody like me, on a fishing board, to a higher standard than the former president of the US.

Not sure if this happened to you or anyone you know. But several people I know were sent multiple ballots to their homes to use to vote. Either mail in or take them to a drop box or take them to their voting station. Everyone of them were registered democrats. Yes, I do have democrat friends and family.

Now Bidens Justice Dept is looking around and trying to find a way to stop the recount in Maricopa County Arizona.
WHAT ARE THEY AFRAID OF ???
They would be much better served to just let it happen and deal with whatever consequences occur.
To try and stop it in such a partisan way will forever taint the already tainted election and cause much more harm and divisiveness than we already have.

In an odd way they may be doing the Republicans more good than harm by appearing so very obsessed with  final outcome that they have to stop it altogether.

But you left out the part about how the Arizona state senate hired a company called “Cyber Ninjas” to do the election audit, the owner of which is a conspiracy nutter.

Sure. Seems legit and totally objective .

Also, perhaps unsurprisingly, the clowns that are conducting the audit are waaaaay behind schedule and at this point have no actual timetable for completion. It was supposed to be finished by May 14, but as of May 5, they had only my processed 200,000 of 2.1 million ballots.

Not a joke.  This is real and if this is the path that this country is going to go down then we aren't long as a country.  If there is no trust in the democratic process we are in trouble.  This recount will simply muddy the waters.  That's all it can really hope to do at this point.  If the democrats are moving towards socialist tendencies then the republican party is moving more and more towards an authoritarian, dictatorial mind set and it may be spinning out of control.  The old men who run things in this country know not what they do.

You know what else is not a joke?

Part of the Cyber Ninja recount/audit involves checking ballots for traces of bamboo fibers because there is some nutter theory that ballots were smuggled in from Asia.

This is the kind of absurd reality that elected republicans and right wing media is selling to voters.

Nope not a joke. Still incredibly entertaining though.
They can't take the L. They can't wrap their heads around the fact that they lost and that the people of America have spoken.

Coming here, seeing the regurgitated talking points that the Conservative "Media" feeds is just comical:
"Imagine what Trump coulda done if people didn't hurt his feelings"
"Do you really believe 80 million people voted for him"
    "He campaigned from this basement!"
    "Dead people voted!"
"I know people with 10 ballots, all democrats of course!"

Trump was President for 4 years. Almost every day it was some new garbage, a new lie, a new thing he did that wouldn't be appropriate for any grown man to do, let alone the President of the United States. He's been out for almost 4 months. I'm gonna bask in this for a while and laugh.

Never forget the hilarity of the sheep chanting "Count the Votes!" in Phoenix, and "Stop the Count" in Michigan.

I see the Republican party referred to in this way many times by the indoctrinated, yet I can never come up with anything off the top of my head as an example to prove this claim that the Republican party is, or is moving to a more authoritarian, dictatorial anything. I can make the argument that the opposite is true. The Democrats, yes. Many examples come to mind quickly of their dictatorial, authoritative ways.

Could you help an old guy out who does not have the new edition of the Democrat dictionary of redefined words, and give me a few examples to justify your opinion that the Republican party is authoritarian/ dictatorial, or moving there.

The problem with trying to explain this to somebody like you is that you believe all of Trump’s bullshiit.

So if I were to explain to you that for example, attempting to undermine the results of a legitimate election is a move right out of Dictatorship 101, your response would just be “but the election fraud IS real”.

Or if I said calling a free press the “enemy of the people” is an authoritarian move right out soviet era Stalin, your response would again be “but the press really IS the enemy”.

So we really can’t have a conversation about this because you live in a reality where Donald Trump is the only source of truth in the entire world. And that is the goal of authoritarianism: to create obedient followers who question nothing about their authority figure, and blindly follow every command.

It must be an awesome responsibility, and privilege to be granted the ability to label others, and their beliefs. Keep up the good work, you have earned it.

The Democrats do the same type of things much more often, but are never described as dictatorial, or authoritarian by anyone. What gives? Is it like the lie counting thing? When the Dems do these same things it’s always described as something more noble.

I hate to break this to you, but I had the same political beliefs, and views  twenty years ago, when Trump was a Democrat, as I have today. You refuse to understand who is leading who.

January 6th...the rhetoric leading up to it.

Donald Trump's insistence on not filling cabinet positions in the government and creating constant upheaval when he did do so to seat loyalists who weren't necessarily experts or public servants, but who were people beholden to him.

Trump's alignment with dictatorial leaders throughout the world.  He ball cupped them.  Change my mind.

The cultish vision in general.  He is a defeated president but has created a movement that puts him at the head of it.  Everyone who isn't a loyal adorer is an "anti" or a RINO.  They couldn't possibly just have a different opinion.  They are traitors to the cause.  This isn't something that's seen in other "party politics".

The "Big Lie" that ,if perpetuated, will tear the country apart.
