LOL Pork,  I can live with the goalies they are young and should improve just look at MAF. What they need is a couple of power forwards who can play in front of the net. I also think they already have them in Wilkes-Barre it’s just a matter of giving them a chance.

And another early exit for a team that had a tremendous regular season. I agree that anyone that doesn't wear 87 should be on the table for sure. Dare I say even Sulley and his staff. This goaltending coach will be the first to go. He turned Murray into a pumpkin and this Jarry..... well we saw how he worked out. Hextall and Burke have a lot of work to do, that's a fact.

So an empty net had a higher save percentage than Jarry?

I’ve struggled to get excited for hockey since the last cup run. Putrid playoff performances like this are the reason why.

It appears like the Pirates signed Tristan Jarry as their new 1st basemen...

Fleury gets his team into the next round. I'll be rooting for Vegas from here on in.

Tons of hockey left to watch, and bet$$$$. Probably take Boston in this next series. Vegas and Carolina also. Not real sure who is going to win that Toronto/Montreal series, but the winner won't make it out of the 2nd round.

I have been saying for the last few years that they should have traded Geno and Letang. Should have kept Kessel and Hornquist

Yep. Trade a 1c and a 1d for a 2 wingers.

Are you going to be available to coach next year? Should give Mario a call.

Even more disappointing than the Pens are the Leafs with an epic meltdown against the Habs.

To say The Leafs collapsed would be the understatement of the playoffs. Super anxious to see how Vegas responds to the game 1 pounding they got from Colorado. My guess is there won't be any days off given to Fleury from here on in. I'm still standing by my picks for this round. Boston, Carolina, Vegas and I'm thinking Montreal has what it takes to beat Winnipeg.

As far as trading Malkin and Letang... that ship has sailed. Maybe 5 years ago , but now they are worth nothing and come with huge cap hits for anyone that would even think about 2 players that their best years are behind them.

Another horribly, dirty hit in Habs/Jets game lastnight. Don't understand why the league has devolved back into the Dark ages of the 80s n 90s?

I might have to hedge a couple of my series picks with some single games. Avs and Lightning seem to be on a collision course for the Finals this year.

It's like they want to play modern hockey in the regular season but as soon as the playoffs start it's back to old time thuggery.  I don't care which style they want to promote but lets keep it consistent

Them dam Islanders won today. 2 to 1 at Tampa in game 1. It was pretty much 2 -0 till the last minute. Tampa scored a PPG late. If they end up in the final does that look better or worse for the teams they beat? Granted there's no losers bracket. Also, what's that say about Washington? Trotz won the Cup and wasn't brought back. He's done nothing but win at NYI. Kinda think that trigger was pulled a year or 2 too early. Vegas/Montreal open up tomorrow. On paper the Habs shouldn't stand a chance, but these games are decided on the ice and not the press room. I'd love to see Fluery in , and win the Finals.

As far as the wagering has gone. I'm down a little. Hedging with the Knights helped a bit. I took TB and Vegas for the series. That means NYI and Habs will be in the Final. 😉

God I don't think I've disliked a team as much as this isles team in years. Every single thing about them is just the most boring ever. Them beating the pens behind a hot goalie and the pens being a hot dumpster fire just makes it so much worse.

Fleury crapped the bed lastnight with that turnover. Its a terrible thing to give a team life when you have them looking at a 2-1 deficit in a series. He has always had a short memory, so hopefully Vegas can get a win in game 4 and close em out in 6 or 7. No one wants to have to watch Finals games with no fans in the building.

As far as that other series goes... I've never been a bigger Tampa fan. Enjoy. There's atleast another 3 weeks of hockey left.
