Ice fishing the bay

Hello!
I’m bringing a couple 10 year olds up to ice fish for panfish the bay this weekend. After several poor outings at other lakes this year, I’d like them to have a good day so they can see what a good day looks like.
I’ve only ever ice fished the bay once a long time ago.
Not sure if we should go to misery bay or the head of the bay or wherever. I’d go wherever the fish have been lately. If anyone could point us in the right direction for perch / bluegills / crappies in the bay, that would be greatly appreciated!

The bay has been good in a sense of a lot of action. The only problem is that anglers are struggling with keepers in the bay. If keeping fish isn't a major concern for you and just action I would hit the bay. The average perch in the bay is about 5-7 inches and its about a 1 to 15 ratio with catch to keep. Tungsten jigs with either minnows or grubs will do the trick. Be safe walking out on the ice and TIGHT LINES !

Thanks! Any areas better than others now? We’d be open to anything... perch, crappie or bluegills.

For panfish there is always Misery Bay on the PI. Also don't over look any inland lakes like Sugar Lake or Woodcock Lake if you don't mind traveling. I'm not sure about the ice though down on the inland lakes so when going out, spud bar your way out just to be safe. TIGHT LINES.

Thanks for the info! We hit misery bay on Sunday. We had a ton of action so it was good for the kids. We ended up with 7 keepers.
Hopefully the ice ice still good this weekend. If so, we’re heading to an inland lake. Thanks again.
