4 charged in Andrew Jackson statue vandalism investigation near White House

REUTERS/Tom Brenner

The men are accused of damaging and attempting to tear down a statue depicting Jackson on June 20 in Lafayette Square, a seven-acre public park that sits right across the street from the White House and has been the site of racial inequality protests in recent weeks.

The four men charged are 47-year-old Lee Michael Cantrell from Virginia, 20-year-old Connor Matthew Judd from Washington, DC, 37-year-old Ryan Lane from Maryland, and 37-year-old Graham Lloyd from Maine.

In other news......

By
Alexander Mallin

Jason Charter, who self identifies in social media profiles as a supporter of the anti-fascist movement antifa, was charged Friday with two counts of destruction of federal property based on videos that appear to show him participating in the vandalism of both the statue of Confederate general Albert Pike as well as the Jackson statue.

Once again, for all y'alls pleasure.... annnnnd let's hope the current DOJ takes prosecution to it's fullest.

More -ya cant make this stuff up---
In Cleveland they want to replace a Columbus statue with one of Chef Boyardee.

Another--the worst yet--
State officials in virginia demanded a large AMERICAN FLAG be removed from a construction site -on the fourth of July -as they believed it might become a target for protestors.

The colors don't run -but Lib politicos certainly do---

Well.. well.. well.. National Guard deployed in Atlanta. Peaceful protest are being "hijacked". huh...😒 I'll be darned. Peaceful looting, burning and murders... being hijacked.🙄

Who would of thunk... obviously not the democrat mayors, running the cities where peaceful looting, burning, annnnnd murders have been taking place. I guess this will put a hold on the historic statue relocation program underway in those cities too.🙈

Maybe this guy can help.....

Read the New York proposed 'liability insurance for Police article-
Of course- NY.
As first glance it does not look too outa line however a second more questioning read makes me cringe.
Seems this 'insurance' bill is VERY much a punitive effort.

Mentions  rising costs when complaints are made ( never mentions justified) that will make Officers more responsible apparently because it will cost them money out of pocket.

Also mentions that Officers can loose their pensions due to conduct complaints.

DOESNT mention what can happen if some insurance lefty simply decides to DROP an officer for- whatever- no insurance , no job is the likely result.

Smoke and mirrors with this legislation to hamper Cops from doing their jobs.
The insurance company becomes very powerful here - not to mention getting rich -the more complaints the higher they can raise premiums.

Any Cop in his or her right mind will simply NOT get involved in  activity that will have a chance of a complaint.

Shooting incidents - welll  take a very lonnnnnng time to get there so as not to get involved with any 'incidents'.
Complaints of physical aggression where a fight could be involved - noooooo not me.
A traffic ticket where the person stopped argues- Ok - never mind- guess I'll stop doing enforcement on THAT too.

Those 'activists' throwing poop and pee and spitting and throwing bricks and stones at officers during their 'peaceful demonstrations' would love to see this legislation.

Remember the officer who went to the School Shooting and was Nationally humiliated for just standing around outside the School while shots were ringing inside-That will be the norm.

I don’t see the problem here. If you work in banking, there are severe Individual criminal and civil penalties for people that don’t follow federal banking regs. Entry level, low pay positions like bank tellers can be fined tens of thousands of dollars and/or get sent to jail for not doing their job correctly.

Why should cops be any different? Why shouldn’t there be individual penalties? Why should they be allowed to keep their pensions? Why shouldn’t there be penalties for misconduct?

Plus, if cops don’t do anything wrong, then they don’t have anything to worry about, right?!?. Isn’t that what you people like to tell black folks when they complain about police misconduct? Goes both ways my dude.

Kayleigh McEnany, White House Press Secretary squared off with the anti-America news media yesterday (07/06).

As usual, the fake news tried it's best to keep America divided butt in the end (no pun intended😊) McEnany left the bottom feeders licking their chops.

Kayleigh McEnany

...And finally, I’d end with this: You know, I was asked probably 12 questions about the Confederate flag. This President is focused on action, and I’m a little dismayed that I didn’t receive one question on the deaths that we got in this country this weekend. I didn’t receive one question about New York City shootings doubling for the third straight week. And over the last seven days, shootings skyrocketed by 142 percent. Not one question. I didn’t receive one question about five children who were killed.

Re: protest opinions 2020/07/07 11:25:32 (permalink)
Doing a bit of thinking here (hey, it’s too hot to do much else).

If it weren’t for COVID-19 or the protests, what would the main stream media be televising, talking, or writing about? It wouldn’t be the economy— it was too good. It wouldn’t be Russia or the Ukrain — debunked. It wouldn’t be impeachment — over. It wouldn’t be MeToo — too many of their own popping up. It wouldn’t be Biden — he is boring with 1-2 thousand at his rallies.

In other words, the main stream media would be right back where it was during the Obama years when they had nothing to write, talk, or televise. And where was that — newspapers losing readership to the point of going bankrupt. Cable news stations with rating so low that they had to give advertising away to fill the blank ad space. Radio channels only existing because of the law of equal access. Business was bad.

Then along came the perfect villain in Trump. Some BS stories (most which were proven out right false) gathered some interest and their fortunes turned around through publishing over 90% negative stories. Ratings, listeners, and readers went up enough to make the mainstream media viable businesses again due to those wanting the negative to be true and those wanting to how desperate and low they would go.

It is in their very best business interests for Trump to get re-elected. They need the villain or they will head right back where they were.

Ok, I’ll bite. I’ll play the role of an America-loving reporter: “Kayleigh...you’re looking super hot today, by the way, but please answer me this: Shootings have doubled in New York for the 3rd week in a row, the number of shootings in urban areas like Chicago and Atlanta are skyrocketing. 5 children were recently killed. As the county’s top law enforcement official, leader of this country and man of action, what will the President do to address this problem and stem the violence that is erupting on his watch?” PS. “Kayleigh - I have rigged this room to explode if your answer includes any manner of whataboutism, blame-shifting or diversion so watch yourself!”

What murders?

I’m not going to play this selective outrage game. So all of a sudden conservatives pretend to care about urban violence because right wing media decided to hype this narrative over the weekend?

You don’t care about people dying from the corona virus.

You don’t care about people dying at the hands of law enforcement.

But, this “160 murders” is your line in the sand?

Won't deny, I'm disappointed the White House hadn't mopped up the streets when all the peacefull, looting, burning, & murder protesting started butt I do remember, the likes of MyLiar and his basement thugs denouncing Trump for "overstepping" his authority, when the POTUS mentioned supporting the local police departments with national guard.

Soooo, once again, here is the protocol, or chain of authority, required to get federal assistance.

Local government, (A/K/A; Mayor) request assistance from state government (A/K/A; Governor) who in turn, may request assistance from the federal govenment (A/K/A; POTUS).

Now if all y'all watch Atlanta, you will see this very scenario unfold as the peaceful, burning, looting and murdering protesters have been hyjacked and the Democrat mayor is sayin things have gotten out of control.

Why yes, yes we do care about the deaths from Covid-19. Especially about the 43% killed in nursing homes where these facilities were forced, by democrat leaders, to take patients infected with the virus. Sooo, wheres your outcry & peaceful demonstrations?

Butt this subject isn't about the anti-America covering Corona deaths, the subject is about no coverage or outrage, over people being gunned down on their home streets

You don’t care about people dying at the hands of law enforcement.

How about, proof your anti-America news networks don't give a rat's asz about anyones lives and BLM is only used by the media as a means to attract viewers for better ratings.

Also another straw on the camel's back.... making more and more people question... the true intension of BLM?

Socialist takeover of NYC is almost complete---
DeBlasio has forbidden all large gatherings in the City-- EXCEPT BLM  demonstrations.

You may recall that BLM is that group that started out to represent people of color and has been hijacked by persons openly stating they are Marxists as its leaders.

NYC has become CHOP East.
Yesterday De Blasio was in the middle of the Street in Manhattan helping paint a BLM logo on the road in front of Trump Tower.\
Had the money  for that but hadda cut a BILLION from the Police budget.
Think anyone with  a brain and family should just pack up and get out -forget the home and job - just get out.

Place is a ticking time bomb IMHO

Guy I used to know always said -the big cities are nothing more than bubbling pots that could boil over into the suburbs as any moment-

He stayed ready----

Hope it doesnt come to that---but they allow 'protestors'  to loot and burn and destroy in the city- how could they be expected to do otherwise in the burbs.

Soooooo Cortez says the shootings, murders, violence in the streets of U.S. cities are merely people out shop lifting a loaf of bread to feed their child.

🤔 I wonder does that child include the 15 year shot and killed in Chicago and the one year old that died from a gunshot to the stomach in New York, this weekend?

In other news...... Washington Redskins announce a name change will be taking place.

Sources, wishing to remain anonymous, report "Washington Yellow Streak" is in the running.

Cant make it up -
Go to Fox and read the story about the LA teachers union position on defunding the police--
Too much to just post here--

NOW ITS clear why young folks think the way they do--these 'teachers' are clearcut Socialists.

Things gotta change---
