Looking for some help finding fish species.

I am currently trying to find and catch all of the main species of fish in NW PA. I am not looking for exact spots as I will do my own work finding the spots but if you could give me the name of a body of water(ie Wilhelm, Shenango, etc) that is known to have the species that would be super helpful. With that being said I have not caught or seen the following fish:
snakehead
bowfin(geneva swamp I have heard and will be going up soon to try)
chain pickerel

Thank you for any help!

Snakehead are not a main species for NW Pa.... you may find them in SE Pa, but more likely will have to go into Maryland waters

Instead of people spoon feeding you. You can do a search on the internet yourself. You won’t find exact spots but you will find out what species are in the waters. Fish com webpage still tells you what’s there. What’s your definition of main species cause snakehead are invasive species.

Sam, FYI.... I wouldn't click on any links associated with this poster.

Cut bluegill or dead smashed shiners work well for bowfin aka dogfish. Conneaut is loaded with them. This time of year I would hit the channels where the water is shallow and warmer. Sharpen your hooks...

Sugar Lake has all three of them.

You do not need a parachute to skydive. You only need a parachute to skydive twice.

Thank you to everyone that shared information with me. I will definitely be driving up to Sugar Lake and Conneaut Lake in the coming days. I thought I did a pretty good job explaining that I did not want information "spoon fed" to me but evidently I was still too specific and needy. Lol

No sweat Aballish. I felt your question was not unreasonable. I've caught pickerel in Sugar and bowfin from Connie.

Since this was in other forums I read. Schuylkill river, philly area, Maryland, Potomac river. They are all good areas for snakeheads. No c&r with them.

Yeah, He don't eat fish, Think they are mushy meat. If it wasn't for me he  would let'em all loose. Told him this year to catch me some Pan Fish & quit hunting Bass since I can't catch the dang things. Might have been a big mistake... had to fillet 22 slabs today from Arthur

Your boys do really good with their fishing. I'll bet they could keep you pretty busy filleting fish.

I've heard Bowfin are good eating. I was wondering if you might be frying some up. It looked like a nice size. Bet it was fun to land.

umm, I think we know better about you not able to catch fish when you can get out.

Even if they are good eating (maybe u thinking Burbot) I would let 'em live, kool looking native prehistoric fish.

Only my one son has been out so far this season. Hoping to get the other two out enjoying the good times soon. Crap last time was out fishin' Pymy could only catch Carp  Was actually fun... miss the river as a kid having a blast with 'em.

I've been told they resemble catfish in taste and was wondering if you had ever tried eating the fish.

Very cool looking and I heard a fun fish to land. I know the PGC ask they be released and had posters showing the difference between the bowfin and the snakehead.

Good times and tight lines.

Keep the pictures coming.

I don't have any local to me. When the fish species literally isn't near you it kind of is thunderpole.
