It is easily 30:1 Trump to Biden signs.

Agreed. However, that 30:1 ratio represents a 3% increase in signs for Biden compared to what I saw in 2016 for Clinton. I never saw a Clinton sign in Butler County in 2016. I do now see some Biden signs. Considering that Trump won Pa by less than 1% of the vote this modest increase is foretelling a victory for Biden. There are cracks in Trump’s support. I’m not denying that his supporters are vociferous, but there are cracks, and that’s all it’s going to take.

Well, Jo Lorgensen, the Libertarian candidate for 2020 stopped in several towns in Western PA over the past couple days. This is  direct quote in the Oil City Derrick on Monday from Jo:

"Most of our votes come from Independent voters or people who never voted. This year, I seem to be hearing more from disaffected (Joe) Biden voters."

Time will tell if these people follow through and vote 3rd party.

People also see who is behind most of the mayhem and failed thinking in this country. Now as before, the Democrat party is the biggest threat to this nation than any alternate reality you can conjure up.

What are you even talking about? What mayhem? 9/11? The great recession? Wars in Iraq? Those things happened while a Republican was president.

Clinton was in office during one of the most prosperous times of my adult life. So was Barack Obama. Obama spent most of his first term cleaning GWB’s foreign and domestic messes.

Right now, Republicans control the White House, the senate, a disproportionately large number of state governments, they have a 5-4 majority on the US Supreme Court... the mayhem and chaos that is gripping this country right now is ON THEM, not Democrats.

What mayhem?.....That could also be called rioting and vandalism. Seems  for the most part completely acceptable, and supported by the Democrats. A Democrat riots, and it’s the Republicans fault. Is that’s how it works?

Blaming 9/11 on Bush the Jr is like blaming Pearl Harbor on Roosevelt. Ridiculous. Clintons foreign policy of ignoring repeated attacks by Islamic terrorist deserves most of the blame.

The Great recession was the fault of both parties, but was super charged by Democrat supported sub prime mortgages.

Clinton inherited an economy already in recovery, he also had the benefit of a Republican controlled House that was balancing the federal budget. Most importantly, the economy benefited by advancements in the tech industry. You've heard of the dot com boom?... Maybe not.

Obama's foreign policy in the Middle East was atrocious, making bad situations much worse. Toppling Egypt's and Libya's leaders, supporting more radical Islamic governments was not a sign brilliancy, but an agenda. That’s just for a start, I could go on, and on of his administration mistakes and blunders on foreign policy.

Re: Joe Biden 2020/08/04 12:42:38 (permalink)
So Clinton inherited an economy in recovery, and he deserves no credit.

And 9/11 wasn’t on Bush because he inherited that one from Clinton, so he deserves no blame.

But Obama DID NOT inherit a complete disaster in the Middle East, that’s all 100% on him.

And then you somehow “both sides” the Great Recession, and blame Democrats for all the bad stuff that happens on Trumps watch.

The problem here is that you people can’t conduct an intellectually honest argument in good faith. It’s just not possible.

Well, I admit I had to read up on her. As you say, I guess we’ll find out. Seems to be especially important in a State like Pa. I’m curious what other states she’s targeting. Why is she hearing more from disaffected Biden voters? Is it because there’s more voters considering the Democratic candidate than in the past? Maybe. Who would the Libertarian mantra of “get the government out of your life” tend to attract? I would say Republicans, but I don’t know much. It seems to me that Trump’s support has hardened and contracted a little. There are more than two sides to this coin and there’s a lot of time until the election. How does she stack up in recognition or enthusiasm as compared to Ross Perot, Ralph Nader, or Jill Stein? I could see either or both sides trying to cancel her should she pose a real threat.

This appears to be correct. You avoid and talk around the comments, then accuse people of doing what you are actually doing. That's your normal MO. Your posts blames everything on past Republican presidents, while giving a pass to the Democrat presidents. Read my actual words, and responds to the comments being made without putting a foolish spin on things. I'm not sure you are capable of that....... Conversing with you is like talking to a dog's butt.

Why are the Dems having such a hard time picking a VP? Are they trying to find one that will be just as pliable as Joe?

I guess I can understand, because if Joe is the best they can find to run as president, the undercard must also be just as thin.

I still can't believe they are going to run Joe. Possibly a worse choice than Hillary. I wonder who the puppet master is.

I would think its the DNC itself- look at how they orchestrated the multi candidate exit just in time for Joe to get the needed delegates- just when that  total was in question and we were all talking bout a Dem brokered convention.

But I thought it is a party of the people. It was probable bought off by someone, or some group. Just like Hillary did in 2016. She reportedly paid off the previously amassed DNC's debt in exchange for the party nomination.

Old Joe opened his mouth this morning and inserted both feet when he insulted Americas' Black population, calling them one dimensional that can only think one way.  Later in the day, he was back pedaling and tryin' to spin it differently, but it was too late. A lot of people heard him. Worse than when he told the reporter that he, (the reporter) couldn't be black if he didn't vote for Joe. He truly is the racist that he accuses Trump of being. No wonder he was such good friends with Robert Byrd.

Speaking of the power of the DNC--lol
Over 300 members of DNC have submitted their preference of Bass as Bidens VP choice.
As you may recall she is the one praising the Church of Scientology and speaking sooo highly of Castro.

We will see in a week or so- OOOps that announcement was supposed to be last week - but its Biden , he likely thinks last week is next week- or thereabouts.
Still waiting to be told what to say most probably.

Well I see Joe finally got his running mate picked for him. If he wins the election, shortly thereafter  you will have the first woman president, Kamala Harris.
