November Allegheny River reports

Has anyone been fishing the Allegheny this November? I’m hoping to get out Sunday and fish the harmar pool. I was looking for any updates

Well 265, the boys an I have attacked the Allegheny every weekend from mid-October up to the end of November. We fish pool #4, Tarentum to Freeport mostly, but have done time on pools 6, (Clinton to Kittanning), and pool 7, (Kittanning to Mosgrove), and I'm here to tell ya, fishin' has been tough. The 'eyes just don't seem to be in their perennial places where they've been before at the same time of the year. The boys got a couple of muskies and a few smallmouths, but the walleye fishin' is nothing like it was the past two years at the same time of the year. This last week of November, the boys were out Monday and Tuesday and put a few 'eyes in the box, and yesterday we had both boats out. They got a few in the box, but I didn't get a legal 'eye. Did boat a 25" Drum that must have gone 8 lbs., but after 7 1/2 hours in the cold, I decided to get the boat on the trailer before it was pitch black. Gotta tell ya, that warm truck comin' home was the best part of the day. Seems all the 'eyes will hit is a white Blakemore Roadrunner tipped with a shiner. They'll have little to do with a fathead or Gulp.

Never try to argue with an idiot. They'll bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Fished the Harmer pool on sunday, had the entire shoreline to myself. Minnows, bottom bouncing, drifting, spinning, nothing, not even one bite.

I can tell you "up north," they are hammering the eyes on the river....some up to 30."  I was hunting with my kids so I did not partake...
