Antonia Brown

Just read where the Raiders cut AB this morning and of all places he was picked up by the Patriots. They already had a very good receiving core including running back James White. Going to be interesting to see if coach Bill can keep him on a short leash.

Yeah, he supposedly signed a 1 year $9 million contract with up to $5 million in incentives. Mister Prima Donna! God's gift to football. Humility sure ain't one of his better attributes.

AB and Josh Gordon. Wow... Seriously, wow. It is official. NE is run by Lucifer himself. Aaron Hernandez wasn’t a fluke.

I guess we will have to see. If Belichek can keep him on the straight and narrow, then NE will have a crazy good offense. Any picks on the over and under on how many times they show him on the sideline tomorrow?

That contract could be worth up to 15M, with 9M signing bonus. Not bad for a 1 year deal to play with TB12.

1 year 15 million deal and one of the best chances (if not guaranteedl) for a Super Bowl Championship ring..... Le'Veon cryin in his bong.

Wellllll OK, probably not but ya know, the Patriots would never deal with Bell's attitude. He be toxic.

Brown is the one with the attitude.

I have heard this is all a preplanned back room deal. Gets traded off of Stiller’s who were not trading to NE, KC, in division or a few others. Brown acts like a baby to be cut and signs where he wants. Hopefully league investigates and suspends him and NE for a few years.

I'm not sure, but something smells a little fishy about this whole deal. Perhaps AB has one of the smartest agents around who orchestrated this. Perhaps the signing of AB will come back to bite the Pats in the behind. Time will tell.

Not sure how the Patriots can be found in violation not that somebody, by the name of Goodell, isn't drumming up some kind of rule.

Antonio no dummy either, definitely a method to to his madness.

So AB won't be playin' the first game of the season but should be ready when the Pat's square off againt the Jets.

Well, I started out watching the game until 9:00 PM when NCIS; LA came on, and I've been switchin' back & forth, but at 20 to 0 at halftime, may as well catch the last of LA and then watch NCIS NEW ORLEANS at 10. Of all the games the Steelers played in Foxboro and lost every one of them, the Patriots averaged 36.6 pts. per game, so they'll probably lose 40 to zip. New England don't need AB to hand the Steelers their azz.

I gotta agree with that. 58 yard TD pass on 3 and 10 to make it 27 to 3. TB12 could kick their hindparts with Laurel or Neshannock high school players, jus say'in

I recorded the game while watching something else, then buzzed through it until I caught up with real time, at which point, I went to bed because the game, while time still was on the clock, was long over.

The thing I found interesting was that there was a little crawler blurb at the bottom of the screen just after halftime that quoted Tomlin as saying, “It’s not the scheme, the scheme is good, it’s the execution.”

How has this guy been a head coach in the NFL for 13 seasons (oh, he won a Super Bowl a long time ago with another coach’s developed players) when he does grasp the concept that coaches (and managers — sports or business) must scheme to the level of execution that THEIR talent has? And if the talent isn’t there, it needs coached to bring it out (player or employee development) or go get it.

The poster formally known as Duncsdad

Everything I say can be fully substantiated by my own opinion.

Obviously.... Head Coach Tomlin need be tweaking "the scheme" so "the scheme" explains how "the scheme" is to be executed.

But hey it took Belichick 19 years to win 6 Super Bowl Championships as Head Coach but then again, Bill has been to the Super Bowl 9 times so ....... let's give Head Coach Tomlin a little more time. Wudda ya say?

ummm, if I may, Head Coach Tomlin obviously should be carefull with his "potty mouth", never know when ya have a TV camera zoomed in on your face.

Then again, I shouldn't be surprised considering what the NFL tried hanging around Robert Kraft's neck at the message parlor in Florida.

"The Drama" is reason for me to give up my interest in the NFL

Unfortunately, as long as Rodger Goodell remains, the drama ain't gonna go away.

Heck the NFL is nothing more than a circus show with Goodell being the "ringmaster".

I use to wonder, how does this Goodell keep his job? Welp, the issues with****allegations against key players coupled with the recent BS involving an owner frequenting a massage parlor gotta make ya wonder..... what does Goodell have, or plan on drumming up, about other team owners?

    Just sum food fer thought.

AB sure as hell is, a better man than BO.

I have to agree, Sam. I've been scratchin' my head tryin' to figure "why if ya got raped once would you go back for two more"? Note that the charges come out just after inking the big one year deal. Kinda like that woman (where was it, Florida?) that went after Ben Rothlisberger right after he signed a biggie. I mean, AB was at the Raiders camp for a while, why didn't we hear about it then. There just may be "something about the league vs the Patriots."

I assume that you didn't read the filing before making this statement?  I too wondered the same thing.  I figured that I would at least do a little research before passing any judgement and replying on here.  No doubt this is "her side of the story", but definitely explains the progression of the situation.  The first two were not violent ****, more like a "Kavanaugh - boys being boys".  Which we all know is acceptable behavior now days.  I still don't see why she would go back after a few months of avoiding him.  The third, if found to be true, is the act of Satan.  Or what some consider "locker room banter" if their hero's engage in it.  Again, these are allegations only.  That text message doesn't look good for his defense though.  At the very least, she is going to get a settlement outside of court.

1 UNITED STATES DISTRICT COURT SOUTHERN DISTRICT OF FLORIDA BRITNEY TAYLOR, Plaintiff, vs. ANTONIO BROWN, Defendant. Case No. CIVIL COMPLAINT DEMAND FOR JURY TRIAL Plaintiff Britney Taylor, by and through her attorneys Haas Law, PLLC, Emery Celli Brinckerhoff & Abady LLP, and The Law Offices of Marshelle I. Brooks, PLLC, alleges as follows for her Complaint: INTRODUCTION 1.This case is about how Antonio Brown – a highly successful wide receiver in theNational Football League (“NFL”) – exploited, sexually assaulted, and raped his former trainer Britney Taylor. Brown preyed on Ms. Taylor’s kindness and her religious devotion, casting himself as a person equally dedicated to his religious faith and someone she could trust. In reality, he used manipulation and false promises to lure her into his world, and once there, he sexually assaulted and raped her. These heinous acts have inflicted severe and dramatic damage.........

Wreaks of "blackmail gone bad" and yes I read the entire complaint.

Red flag... how darling and religious the plantiff.

..................The defendant; a "highly" successful football player "lured" the victum into his world.

Tell me the legal service for the plantiff knows full well, any jurist with half a brain will be thinking "why" the delay in reporting and "why" the hell would she go back......

😲h, silly me she was "lured".

Edit: Maybe (I said maybe) I'm wrong. Perhaps "blackmail" is the wrong term. Possibly "sugardaddy gon bye bye".

Hey, I'm going out on a limb here.... I said "maybe" I'm wrong.
