Re: How did you get in to Kayak Fishing?

Had a boat years ago set up for fishing but eventually sold it. After getting back into fishing I mostly found my self beating the bank of shallow rivers. When I decided to add a boat again (as fishing slowly turned into an obsession) I started to see these new stable kayaks coming out. Did a lot of homework. 2 years worth actually. Eventually decided that was the direction I wanted to go in as opposed to another large conventional boat. After a lot of homework I narrowed it down to the Kaku Voodoo, Jackson Big Rig, and Nucanoe Frontier 12 with the Voodoo eventually winning out (the seat was the deciding factor but all three of those boats are fantastic options).
I've never looked back. It's almost become my identity. I'm a kayak angler. Friends and family know me as that now. I got my son into it and my wife. My daughters love kayaking (not fishing) too. We're a paddle family now and it's just been a revelation. Couldn't be happier that we gave it a shot.
