BULL GILLS

DID ANYONE DO WELL THIS YEAR ON BIG GILLS? We did not, mostly because of us being shore fishermen now & our hot spots were high water levels all spring & since we fish mostly flood control waters there was little we could do about it. Also my lack of mobility was killing me. My gang did very well on trout & large mouths. Also we lost what was prob. the best panfish lake in the area for shore fishing due to a infestation of water lilies & skillet greasers. We did o.k. on Crappies but not big numbers, even tho we throw most back & keep just enough for a meal. Usually we do very well on gills around Mothers Day but missed this year.   sam

Find the Crappie spots and fish right next to them a little shallower and you'll find the bullgills.

Bull gills out of cross creek this year.  My daughter had a blast in May and early June.
