Crappie fishing

I’m looking for a spot to bank fish for crappie with my kids around Erie. I’ve only every caught crappie out of Pymatuning so some pointer would be helpful

    My older brother use to live in erie. He would talk about fishing the docks I believe off of State St. He'd get some really nice ones and perch too. I'm not real familiar with erie so I can't give you directions to the spot. There's a good baitshop up there that gives excellent reports. Eastend Angler is the name of it. Google it or go to their facebook page.

    It's getting late to catch crappie up Erie ways.....I catch them in March and April.....Misery bay.

    I'll preface this by saying I don't fish for crappies in Erie.
     
    But if you read the weekly fishing report on Fridays on the Erie Times website, during the fall and spring, I see quite a few words in there on crappies in Erie, including locations around Presque Isle (goerie.com/sports/outdoors).  
     
    I would imagine that like on most inland lakes, they have gone deeper for the summer.
