Wader question

After my last fishing trip I noticed the patches on my Cabela waders are failing and they are starting to leak again. Reviews of new waders from that company are terrible. So now I am flailing about on the internet trying to find a good pair of waders before the cold weather sets in and small leaks become a big problem. I thought high end waders were in the 120 dollar range; obviously I have been out of the market for a while. Anybody have any suggestions?

Find all the leaks and cover holes and patches with aquaseal.  I don't get up near as much as I did 10 years ago but back then I bought a second pair of Cabelas breathables for future use.  I also patched the original pair with aquaseal and they are still holding up fine.  I do have a very slight leak in the bootie I can't find but a slightly damp foot doesn't bother me.

Way back in the old days brand new Cabelas breathables would leak at the seams in the first trip or so.  I would just buy a tube of Aquaseal and seal every seam from the foot to the groin area.  I wasn't going to wade any deeper than that.  Aquaseal is great stuff.

I got adamsbuilt Truckee river waders a few years back. Very pleased with them so far. Have held up easily as well as previous comparably priced waders.

I second the frog Togg motion. Had a pair a little over a year and they developed a leak in the ****.  Called Frog tog customer service and they replaced them for free, can't beat that. Had this pair going on 2 years now with no issues at all.  the price is reasonable compared to many top end waders like Simms and from what I hear from other anlers and guys at shops the high end waders really fair no better than cheaper (not cheap) waders.  good luck.

A bad day fishing is always better than a good day working.
