Cheat river

Any1 in here ever fish Cheat river below Lake Lynn dam to Pt.Marion?

    theres a short stretch of it in PA before it hits the mon.
    theres fish in there, give it a try.  also, if you hear a siren, the water is about to get high. morgantown needs its electricity.

    It is hit or miss right at the dam, and I think it gets a lot of pressure at that particular spot.  The riffles and pools down from there until it is backed up from the mon is fishy.  Access is harder, and I believe that helps.  Fished it from a boat once, came up from the Mon.  You can get up to below the riffles.  Fairly shallow and uniform from there down to the Mon, getting gradually deeper as you go down.  Agree, especially if you are wading the riffles, keep your ears peeled for the siren song.
